Homework
A big thank you to all who complete homework on a regular basis. We have been very impressed with the standard of work produced and the quantity and quality of additional resources being brought from home.
As last term homework will be given out on Thursday to be returned the following Monday.
Year 4 Spring Curriculum
Literacy:
During this term we will be covering the following units
- Fiction writing (including imaginary settings and stories in chapters)
- Classic and modern poetry, including poems from different cultures and times
- Information books and explanation texts.
Numeracy:
During this term we will be covering the following units:
- 2D and 3D Shape – polygons, symmetry, angles, perimeter
- Handling date – constructing graphs
- Measures
- Mental calculations including x tables
- Decimal notation
- Addition and subtraction (mental and written methods)
- Solving problems
Science: - Moving and growing (skeletons and muscles) / Separating solids and liquids.
RE: - Worship/Easter
Geography: - India
D.T.: - Money containers (textiles)
Art: - A range of drawing skills and activities relating to Geography and Science topics.
ICT: - Modelling effects on screen (LOGO)
Branching databases.
Outdoor games: - Athletic activities
P.E.: - Gymnastics (4B)
Swimming (4T)Dates for your diary:
Year 3 and Year 4 are currently preparing a performance for Easter. There will be two performances in main school hall on the following dates:
