Information for parents and children, September 2009

Welcome to Year 6

Hopefully, parents and children will find the following information useful and informative.  It’s a snap shot of the work we shall be doing, how we will be organising homework and any other Year 6 information

Homework and Diaries

To encourage children to take responsibility for organising and completing their own homework Year 6 will have a set homework routine.  All homework will be issued on Friday and needs to be completed and returned by Wednesday.  All written homework will need to be completed in a homework book.  As homework diaries are no longer used as a form of communication any comments you would like to make can be made after each weeks set of homework.
The homework for a week will consist of 30 minutes reading, 1 piece of Maths, 1 piece of Literacy, spellings to learn and sometimes a spelling task.

Homework tasks will be written in the homework books each week.
