Congratulations to Savannah Sturridge
We send our congratulations to one of our pupils, Savannah Sturridge, on her achievement of winning the Bronze Medal for the under 9’s in the West Midlands Gymnastic Championships.  Well done Savannah!

Reception Visit to Ash End House FarmThank you to parents/grandparents who accompanied us on this visit.  We had a lovely time.

Lent Collection – Sports Relief
Thank you to all who have collected in their sponsor money.  Please could you encourage your children to collect any money outstanding and bring it into school.

Sturgeons Hill Entrance
We would remind you that the entrance onto Sturgeons Hill is a vehicle entrance.  Parents and children should use the gate on Cherry Orchard at all times.

French Club
If your child is interested in joining please ask him/her to turn up at the club,

Class Worship – Class Rec. E

PTA News

PTA Meeting
The next PTA meeting is an informal meeting to discuss plans for the Summer Fayre on Tuesday 13th May at Louise’s house. All welcome.  If interested contact a member of the committee.

Children’s Disco
The next children’s disco will take place on Wednesday 7th May. A separate letter will be issued shortly with full details. 

St. Michael’s Primary School PTA Summer Fayre 2008

Preparations have begun for our annual Summer Fayre which is scheduled to take place on Saturday 28th June from 12pm-3pm.Do you work for a company that would be able to offer us some sponsorship? Or provide us with a raffle prize?If you have a particular area of interest or a talent to offer, or if you would simply like to lend a hand, please don’t be shy!  We need your input and contributions.Please feel free to contact us: drop a note into our PTA tray in the school office or speak to any member of the PTA committee.

Mums Night Out!

Drayton Manor, Disco& Curry Night, Saturday 17th May

Party

We are getting a group of mums together to attend the next Curry and Disco night at Drayton Manor, on Sat. 17th May in one of their banqueting suites.  The doors open at 7pm with food served at 8pm, and there is a disco afterwards.  The bar is open until 11:30pm and the evening draws to a close at midnight. 
The food options are: Chicken Curry, Vegetable curry, Lasagne or Vegetable Lasagne.  If you haven’t been to one of these before it’s usually a good chance to let your hair down and dance through the decades!

We have reserved a limited number of places and Tickets cost £14 per person.   Please note that £2 from every ticket sold will be donated to St. Michael’s PTA to be spent on valuable resources for your children.

If you are interested in going please give your name, food option and money (cheques payable to ‘Sue Sinclair’ please) to Sue Sinclair or Trudy Doe – last day for securing places is tomorrow - Friday 25th April.

Volunteer to Count Tesco and Sainsbury Vouchers

Please send any Tesco and Sainsbury Vouchers you may have into school.  We would also be grateful if anyone could volunteer to count these vouchers on a weekly basis.  This could be done in school or in the comfort of your own home whilst watching television etc. Please contact the school office if you could help.
