Family Letter number 9
12th June 2008
Dear Parents,
French Club
Due to the times of some pupils’ music tuition, Mrs. Pameley has made the following alterations to the existing timetable:
Y3 – Thursday 12.30 till 1.00 pm.
Y5 & Y6 - Wednesday 12.40 – 1.10 pm.
This should be a permanent change till the end of term. We hope this is suitable to all those concerned, as Mrs. Pameley always tries to fit in with other lunchtime activities.
Walking Bus – Parents Meeting – 13th June at 9.00 a.m.
We look forward to meeting parents in the staffroom at Main School, tomorrow at 9.00 a.m. to discuss the Walking Bus.
Please come and join us at the Open Evening on Tuesday 8th July between 4.00 and 6.00 p.m. Please feel free to look around the whole school, not just your child’s class. It is a wonderful opportunity for you to see your child’s classroom for next year and celebrate their ‘STAR Week’ work from this term.
New Class ListsClass lists will be displayed in the entrance hall after school on Monday 30th June until the end of Open Evening. You are welcome to come and see whom your child will be with. Please can you wait until after school before coming in to view the lists.
French ClubIf your child has French Lessons and you have not already paid for this session please do so by Friday 27th June.
Thanks to the P.T.A.
We would like to thank our P.T.A. for providing additional C.D./Listening Stations for our Reception, and Years 1, 2 and 4 classes. Our children will benefit greatly from this equipment.

Free children’s workshops. Open to children from 7 to 13 years at Lichfield Festival Medieval Market on Saturday 5th July at noon or 2.45 p.m. inside the Cathedral. Join ‘Daughters of Elvin’ for an hour long exploration of medieval dance music and costume. Discover how to wear medieval clothes, try your hand at the latest dance or learn a medieval song. Booking recommended as numbers are limited. If your child is interested in taking part in this activity please contact – Lichfield Festival Education at education@lichfieldfestival.org or 01543 306275.
The photographer will be in school tomorrow morning to take class photographs of children in the Reception Classes and Year 6. The children can wear summer dresses or polo shirts with trousers, skirts or shorts. We would appreciate it if the children could have their royal blue cardigans or sweatshirts with them.
Message from the Road Safety Unit
Staffordshire’s Walk to School campaign for 2008 is now underway. Why not help your child learn about staying safe at the same time.
Ensure your child knows where to look for traffic when crossing a road at a junction; encourage them to take care of emerging vehicles at driveways too!
