Family Letter number 11
26th June 2008
Dear Parents,
Parking in St. Michael’s Churchyard
For a number of years the Rector and Churchwardens of St. Michael’s Church have generously allowed parents to use the churchyard to park cars at the beginning and end of the school day. The only condition has been that parents respect that from time to time services such as funerals may be taking place and that on these occasions parking is not appropriate.
Unfortunately recently parents blocked the driveway whilst a funeral was in progress. Also cars have been sitting outside the church doors with engines running whilst funerals were taking place. If these inconsiderate actions do not stop, the churchyard will be closed when the church is in use.
Children returning to school after injury
If your child receives an injury that requires medical attention there must be a risk assessment made before a return to school. In such cases please contact your child’s Phase Leader.

St. Michael’s Summer Fayre Saturday 28th June 12-3pm
Come Rain or Shine, the Fayre will take place on Saturday.
Hoping to see many of you there.
We have stalls featuring refreshments, a Licensed Bar (selling beer and wine), a BBQ (selling hotdogs and burgers), tombola’s, a coconut shy, beat-the-goalie, inflatables, horsey hoppers, pocket money toys and lots more besides!
For your entertainment we have performances from: St. Michael’s very own choir at 12:30pm and the School band at 1pm, both on the infant playground.
We also have a display from ‘Elite’ dance school on the grass by the mobiles at 1:30pm and the Summer Prize Draw at 2pm.
We still need extra help setting up the stalls from 10am -12pm, manning the stalls from 12- 3pm, and help tidying away after the Fayre from 3-4pm.
If you can help in any way, even if just for an hour or half an hour that would be great! It’s useful to have people who are willing to take drinks round to our stall holders, and lots of people to help tidy away quickly at the end. Thanks
