Dear Parents,

Parents and Grandparents Lunch

We do hope that you will be able to join us for this year’s lunches. They are always an enjoyable occasion. 
Our school cook takes great pride in producing a choice of healthy, nutritious meals, which you are invited to enjoy.
If you have any worries or concerns about school meals please contact our school cook.  At the moment Mrs. Hiley is in charge in the kitchen whilst we await a permanent replacement for Mrs. Jane Orr.

French Club

A new session of French Club has begun.  If your child is interested in continuing or would like to join the club please ask him/her to collect details from Mrs. Pamley (07814 804740) or from the school office.
Please note that changes have been made to times in order to accommodate Y4 Music Lessons

Monday   12.00 – 12.30 - 1W  12.30 – 1.00 – Year 4
Wednesday 12.00 – 12.30 – Year 2 12.40 – 1.10 – Years 5 & 6
Thursday 12.00 – 12.30 – 1H 12.30 – 1.00 – Year 3

       
These times could change depending on numbers attending.

Recorder Club – Year 4
Recorder Club for Year 4 with Mrs. Thomson will resume on Tuesday 16th September.  Recorder Club is for fun and everyone is welcome to come along.  Children wishing to join the Recorder club should meet Mrs. Thompson in the Library from 12.30 p.m. till 1.00 p.m.   Please remember to bring your recorder and previous recorder music with you.  A parent helper would be very welcome at this club.  Please contact the school office if you feel you could help.

We have some discount entry vouchers in the school office.  If you would like one please collect it.

Information from your neighbourhood police officers
Police Surgery for St. Johns at Holy Cross Parish Hall – Come and meet your local officers on 13th September 2008 from 10.00 a.m. until 1.00 p.m.

Open Day at Lichfield College – Saturday 4th October 2008.
Are you interested in I.T.? – Courses from total beginners to advanced level.  Talk to helpful and friendly staff on Saturday 4th October 2008 from 10.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m. on the 3rd floor in the Library or telephone 01543 414777 for more details.

PTA News
 
The next PTA meeting is scheduled for Monday 15th September, 7:45-9pm in the Main School Staff Room. 

If you haven’t been to one of our meetings before, they are fairly informal and last about an hour.  We usually review recent fundraising events and plan future events over a cup of tea/coffee.  If you have any ideas, or want to find out more, then please pop along.  We welcome new faces and ideas.
