Harvest Festival – Tuesday 14th October 2008

This will again be celebrated in church.  A service for will be held for Reception, Years 1 and 2 at 9.30 a.m. and one for Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 at 2.00 p.m.  Parents are warmly invited to join us.  We would very much appreciate contributions of small ‘luxury’ non-perishable food items (chocolates, jam, biscuits etc.) for elderly and infirm members of our local community. We would welcome gifts to be brought into school from Monday 6th October.
There will be a collection at church; proceeds will go to ‘Water Aid’, a charity, which supports the provision of clean water across the world.  Any donations you would like to send into school to add to this collection will be very welcome.

Sponsored Events

Soon we will be having our annual Sponsored Events.  All children in school benefit in many ways from money raised.  Please could you encourage your children to take part.  We thank you for your support.

French Club
There will be no French Club week commencing 6th October. Children will receive an extra lesson at the end of term.

P.T.A. News

Morrisons ‘Let’s Grow’ Campaign.

If you shop at Morrisons you may have seen their new ‘Let’s Grow’ campaign for schools.

From 15th September until 6th November 2008 you will be able to collect Morrisons Let's Grow reward vouchers when you shop there. One voucher is issued for every £10 you spend in-store. The school is registered on this scheme and has a collection box in the foyer. When enough vouchers have been collected the school can then choose to redeem them for free gardening equipment; everything from seeds and spades to composting bins and planters.

So if you do receive any of these vouchers, please send them into school.

Don’t forget, we also collect Nestle Box Top Tokens and we recycle Printer Ink Cartridges.
