Family Letter number 5
Autumn Term, 2nd October 2008
Dear Parents,
Harvest Festival – Tuesday 14th October 2008This will again be celebrated in church. A service for will be held for Reception, Years 1 and 2 at 9.30 a.m. and one for Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 at 2.00 p.m. Parents are warmly invited to join us. We would very much appreciate contributions of small ‘luxury’ non-perishable food items (chocolates, jam, biscuits etc.) for elderly and infirm members of our local community. We would welcome gifts to be brought into school from Monday 6th October.
There will be a collection at church; proceeds will go to ‘Water Aid’, a charity, which supports the provision of clean water across the world. Any donations you would like to send into school to add to this collection will be very welcome.
The photographer will be in school on Monday 6th October to take individual photographs. If you have a younger child you wish to be included in the photograph please report with all of your children at 8.30 a.m. to the Main School Hall.
Jewellery in School
During a recent review of our Behaviour and Expectations Policy we revisited the County Guidelines concerning jewellery in school. For safety reasons no jewellery, other than a simple watch or stud earrings for those with pierced ears should be worn in school. However, both watches and pierced earrings must be removed for P.E., Games and Swimming lessons. Please encourage your child not to wear earrings on a day when they have these lessons.
Please take time to look at this catalogue. School receives up to 25% on purchases you make. Remember to quote the school source code: SST3027 on your order.
Parent-Teacher ConsultationsWednesday 8th and Thursday 9th September
