Autumn Term, 16th October 2008
Dear Parents,
HarvestIt was lovely to see so many parents at both our Harvest Festival Services on Tuesday. The children were very lucky to have such appreciative congregations. Thank you to everyone for their generosity in providing food gifts and contributing to the collection for “Water Aid”.
Staff Training Day – Friday 24th October 2008
A reminder that school is closed to pupils on Friday 24th October 2008.
The Half Term holiday is 27th October to 31st October 2008.
New School Grandparent/Parent LunchIt was lovely to see so many Grandparents and Parents in school this week. We had many positive comments about our School Lunches. We look forward to the Grandparents and Parents of children in Year 6 joining us tomorrow and our Reception and Nursery Grandparents and Parents joining us next week.
PhotographsIf you would like to make an order, please complete the envelope and enclose money as instructions. Please make cheques payable to H. Tempest. In order that the photographs are received in time for Christmas we ask that all orders be in by Tuesday 21st October. Any orders after that date will have to be placed directly with Tempest.

P.T.A. Meeting
Thanks to everyone who attended the last meeting. The next meeting will be on Wednesday 19th November. Details to follow. .
Harvest Festival Gifts and Deliveries
Many thanks to everyone who helped sort. Parcels will be sent out into the community via the District Nurses.
Christmas Card Orders
By now you will have received a copy of the Christmas card designed by your own child together with an accompanying letter. Cards are available in packs of ten and cost £5.00 per pack. The P.T.A. will receive £1.25 for each pack sold. A big thank you to parents and friends who have already placed an order! Please remember that all orders must be received in school by Wednesday 22nd October in order to make the printing deadline.

Children’s Discos
These will take place on Wednesday 5th November in the Main School Hall.
Foundation Stage/K.S.1 (Nursery – Year 2): 4.30 – 5.30 p.m.
K.S.2 (Year 3-Year 6): 5.45-7.00 p.m.
