Family Letter number 10
Autumn Term, 13th November 2008

Dear Parents,

In the event of children being ill during the day

From time to time all of our children will be ill. If your child is ill before school please could you keep them at home.  On occasions children are fine in the morning and then become ill during the day.  Parents will be contacted by a member of staff to collect children who are unwell.

Football matches at Home – 17th November
Good luck to our teams who will represent the school at the matches on Monday.

Children in Need fund raiser – Friday 14th November
To help raise money for this worthy cause, a ‘Penny Trail’ will be taking place tomorrow, Friday 14th November.  We realise that there are other events taking place in the coming week but any token gestures would be greatly appreciated.  Please could children bring in any coins.  Thank you for your support.

4B Class Worship

We look forward to seeing Parents, Grandparents and Carers of children in Class 4B at our Worship tomorrow at 2.30 p.m.

Pantomime at the Garrick – Nursery, Years Reception, 1, 2, 3 and 4.

If you have not yet returned your slip with contribution of £8 please do so.

Christmas Puddings

Don’t forget to order your ‘St. Michael’s Christmas Puddings’ if you haven’t already done so.

Non-Uniform Day – Friday 14th November
Just a reminder to ask you to support this P.T.A. organised event.

Operation Christmas Child

Working in partnership with Lichfield Methodist Church we are collecting shoeboxes, gifts, or money for Operation Christmas Child.  If you have not already contributed in some way, and would wish to do so, please send your donations to us before 3.30 tomorrow, Friday 14th November. Please label boxes to indicate which age group and whether the gift is suitable for a boy or girl.
I do hope that you feel that you can help to make Christmas a little happier for children less fortunate than our own.

Sponsor Money

Thank you to all who have collected in their sponsor money.  Please could you encourage your children to collect any money still outstanding and bring it into school.

Pedestrian Entrance

Please can I remind you all that the only entrance to main school is via the gate on Cherry Orchard.  An increasing number of families are using the vehicle entrance, which is extremely unsafe and illegal.  Similarly at the Annexe the only entrance is from the churchyard path.  As with main school families have been using the vehicle entrance.  Local residents in Dean’s Croft are particularly concerned.  Please, if you are bringing your child to the Annexe by car, can you use the churchyard parking facilities.  I am sure you will agree that we all want our children to be safe.

Dogs on School Premises
In the interest of Health and Safety we request that you do not bring dogs onto the school premises.

Yours faithfully,

Miss H. McKay
Headteacher.
