Nits!
We are aware that currently a number of children are struggling to fight nits and that as soon as you get rid of them they have an overwhelming desire to reappear! Current guidance only enables us to inform parents when there has been a reported case in a class – and we appreciate how frustrating that is for you. However, a parent has come up with a common sense, practical strategy which we would like to support. From next week please could all children with shoulder length hair (and longer) tie it back. This hopefully might reduce the spread of nits. We really would appreciate your support in this matter.
Tesco Development
We now have a liaison officer from Bowmer and Kirkland who is meeting with Miss McKay regularly. She has already been proactive in dealing with a number of our concerns regarding the proximity of our Year 6 classrooms to the development.
