Key Stage 1 STAR Books – Tuesday 15th December – 9.00 – 9.30 a.m.
You are invited to come and view your child’s STAR Book on Tuesday 15th December from 9.00 – 9.30 a.m.  If you are unable to join us please speak to your child’s class teacher to arrange an alternative time.  Please enter school via the main entrance. Thank you.

Christmas open afternoon at the Annexe
- Tuesday 15th December 2009

On Tuesday 15th December from 2.00 p.m. parents, relatives or friends of children in Years 5 and 6 are invited to join their children at the Annexe for a Christmas Open afternoon. Please join us for cup of tea/coffee and a mince pie. The activity afternoon will also be an opportunity for parents to view their child’s ‘STAR Book’ at the Annexe. 

Year 6 dismissal from Annexe Thursday 10th December 2009. On Thursday 10th December Year 6 will be dismissed from the Annexe.

All children from Years 5 & 6 will be dismissed from Main School on Thursday 17th December 2009.

Christmas Apprentice Sale – Years 3 & 4
- Monday 14th December 2009

On Monday 14th December from 9.30 – 10.30 a.m. parents, relatives or friends of children in Years 3 and 4 are invited to join their children in Main School Hall. Please join us for cup of tea/coffee and a mince pie. The afternoon will be an opportunity for parents to purchase items made by the children (proceeds to charity), view their child’s ‘STAR Book’ and sing carols. 

Christmas Parties

The Foundation Stage Party will be in the afternoon on Monday 14th.

The Year 1 and 2 Party is also to be in the afternoon on Monday 14th.

Years 3 and 4 Disco will be in the afternoon on Tuesday 15th. Children may bring party clothes and change at lunchtime.

Years 5 and 6 Disco will be in the afternoon on Thursday 17th.  Children may come to school in their party clothes.  Please remember to bring a coat.

Christmas Lunch

Wednesday 16th December is our Christmas Lunch.

Children in Need fund raiser
– Friday 19th November
A ‘Penny Trail’ took place on Friday 19th November.  We raised a total of £262.58p for this worthy cause.  Thank you for your support.

Key Stage 1 Nativity Costumes
A reminder for all Key Stage 1 children to bring their costume into school by Friday 4th December please, thank you.

Post OFSTED Action Plan
Please find attached a copy of our Post OFSTED Action Plan (Summary for Parents).  A number of parents have expressed an interest in the Action Plan and a Copy of the full version is available on request from the Main School Office.

Children’s Christmas Decoration Competition

Thanks to everyone who made a decoration for our school Christmas Trees.  There are some amazing creations, see for yourself.  We’ll let you know the winners soon.

 Christmas Fayre

Only one day to go before the Christmas Fayre!  It will be taking place tomorrow (Friday) at Main School from 6-8pm.  Thanks to everyone who has volunteered to help set up, run stalls and clear away afterwards. 

Year 6 Dragons Den Competition for the Christmas Fayre

The year 6 children have invented Christmas Fayre stalls as part of a competition run by the PTA:  ’Dragons Den’.  The winning stall will be the one who makes the biggest profit on the night, so please some along and offer your support to our budding entrepreneurs. Thanks to everyone who got involved with this project and offered their support.

Friday 4th December, 6-8pm.

Try your luck on the tombolas and check out our stalls, including the fabulous new stalls from our Year 6 children.  There will be delicious hot waffles and mulled wine on sale for that festive feel and much more besides!  So make it a date and come along and see for yourself!  A provisional classroom plan is reproduced below, so you can see the layout.  Please check the final programme at the Fayre in case of changes.   

Christmas Fayre – Cake Stall
We are accepting donations of bought or baked cakes in school tomorrow (Friday 4th December) for the Christmas Fayre Cake stall.   Please pop them into the cake bag issued (or wrap in cling film etc) and bring them into school.  Thanks.

 Christmas Fayre - Toy/ Book/ DVD Stall
Last chance to have a final sort out of those unwanted good quality toys, cuddly toys, gifts, books, DVD’s etc ready to bring into school for the Toy Stall.  Please ensure items are in good working order/ good condition etc as we won’t have time to sort them before they go on sale.  Thank you.  This is always a popular stall with the children.
