Parent Governor Research – Involving Parents in Decision Making about Whole School Issues.
We are investigating how parents would like to be involved in the choice which the school makes (for example how to promote healthy eating or how consultation evenings are organised). Please let us know how you would like to contribute your opinions and suggestions by December 4th. We can be contacted by:
- Email bryantjenny@hotmail.co.uk
- Letter handed into the school office.
- In person when collecting your children from school – we will be wearing our school governor badges.
Jenny Bryant and Janine Pearce – parent governors.
Pedestrian EntrancePlease can I remind you all that the only entrance to main school is via the gate on Cherry Orchard. An increasing number of families are using the vehicle entrance, which is extremely unsafe and illegal. Similarly at the Annexe the only entrance is from the churchyard path. As with main school families have been using the vehicle entrance. Local residents in Dean’s Croft are particularly concerned. Please, if you are bringing your child to the Annexe by car, can you use the churchyard parking facilities. I am sure you will agree that we all want our children to be safe.
Term Time Holiday RequestsWe ask you to ensure that holiday forms are returned to school at least two weeks before any holiday commences. The current policy is that 10 days are allowed during each academic year. Any days taken over this number will be marked as unauthorised.

Christmas Fayre - Non-Uniform Day
Thank you to everyone who took part in the Christmas Fayre non-uniform day and made it so successful.

For the Christmas Fayre to be a success we need volunteers to come forward to help on the day, whether it be setting up 3-6pm, helping on a stall or BBQ 6-8pm, or helping to tidy up afterwards 8-9pm. If you can help, even if just for an hour, then please let us know; drop us a note with your contact details or complete the ‘help slip’ on the Christmas Fayre letter and return it to school. Thanks
BBQ help needed!
One of the most popular stalls at the Christmas Fayre is the BBQ, serving burgers and sausages and we need your help! We need volunteers to help set up (from about 5pm) and cook and serve the food. If you are able to help with this, please leave a note at the office with your name and contact details or return the slip from the Christmas Fayre letter.
Christmas Fayre – Cake Stall
Do you like to bake cakes? Do you know someone who likes to bake cakes?
One of the stalls at our Christmas Fayre sells delicious cakes. We will be issuing special ‘cake bags’ at the end of next week for any cake donations. If you would like to make or buy a cake for this popular stall, please place it in the cake bag provided and bring it into school on Friday 4th December (the day of the Fayre).
