Car Park
You will have noticed that the long awaited car park is now underway. We appreciate the hazards whilst building work is going on and ask you to take extra care whilst parking on Cherry Orchard. We have been given a time scale of 4 – 6 weeks but hopefully the improvements will be worth the wait.
Family Praise – Sunday 14th February 2010
The Family Praise service at St. Michael’s church at 10 a.m. on Sunday 14 February (Education Sunday) will focus on the Njarange Project in Kenya, concentrates on empowering poor and needy families to have access to their vital needs, including water and agriculture; but most of all Education. The monthly Family Praise service at St. Michael’s is informal worship, accessible to young and old alike, in a format that meets the church’s vision to be all-age and reaching our to the local community. All are welcome.
The leader of the service, the Revd Debra Dyson, said “We never stop learning in our life, and this is an opportunity to celebrate that and thank God for it, and for all of those who help us in that learning. In addition, we wanted to take the opportunity to support Njarange, where education is not an automatic `given’ as it is for us”.
Congratulations to our Netball Teams
Yesterday our two netball teams played their first matches against Christchurch Primary. Both teams played outstandingly, despite the snow and we congratulate them on their victories. Many thanks to the parents who went to support, along with Miss Morris and Mrs. Taylor.
OFSTED Update
We will be sending out the half termly newsletter to parents outling our progress and actions towards the post OfFSTED Action Plan. With the newsletter there will be an opportunity for all parents to provide feedback.
PTA news
School disco raises £600!
The attendance at last weeks school disco was amazing - thanks to all the children for coming, and helping us to raise £600. The money raised will go towards our fundraising drive for new playground equipment.
Once again, the help from parents was fantastic, so thank you to all of you.
We would like to apologise for the sweets and water running out at the second disco - we will make sure that this does not happen again. We will be setting another date for the next disco and will let you know when this is shortly.
Thanks again to everyone for helping to make this such a huge success
