Family Letter number 11
8th July 2010
Dear Parents,
At the beginning of the school day, there is a lot of pedestrian traffic on Frenchman’s Walk. Could we please ask parents and children to be courteous to other people and to walk on the left to ensure everyone’s safety and make the start of the school day run as smoothly as possible. For safety reasons, the walking bus adults and children walk in single file down Frenchman’s Walk, keeping as close to the fence on the left as is possible and it is important for their safety that all the children are kept together. If you are coming in the opposite direction, could we please request that you keep as far over to your left as is possible. Similarly, if you enter Frenchman’s Walk behind the bus, could you stay behind the bus for the whole length of Frenchman’s Walk – the bus generally involves between 12 and 16 children, and it is very difficult to keep them safely together if parents and children are breaking up our line. Thank you for your co-operation in this matter.
Reports
Your child will bring home their annual report on Friday. If you would like to arrange a follow up meeting with your child’s teacher please contact them via the main school office. Included with your child’s report will be a further report identifying the National Curriculum level they have been assessed at and the progress they have made towards their target. The reports will also include a slip indicating who their new teacher will be. Unfortunately due to data protection issues we are no longer able to publicly display the class lists. Your child’s current teacher will be able to answer any queries you may have.
Office on Monday 12th July
Please be aware that on Monday our regular office team will not be in school. We are currently putting arrangements into place for the telephones to be manned but please could you keep any routine matters until Tuesday. We are also delighted that Mrs. Manton will be joining us full time from Tuesday 13th July as our Office Support Manager.
