Dear Parents,
Class Arrangements for SeptemberOver the coming weeks we will be organising classes for September regarding the current Reception and Year 2 children. If you feel that there are any ‘issues’ or ‘histories’ that we should be aware of please talk to your child’s current teacher before half term. Please be aware that at this stage we have not organised which teachers are going to be in which year group, so please, no requests for specific teachers.
Parking
Recently a number of parents have been parking in Wharf Lane. Redrow Building Company have contacted us with concerns over children’s safety, Please be aware that delivery of materials and large plant movement are constant at this site making it very dangerous for children.
Also please, could you ensure that you leave local residents driveways clear. I appreciate that the parking situation can be very frustrating but please spare a thought for our neighbours.
School Car ParkWe would remind you that our car park is for the use of staff and visitors to the school. Parents/carers should not park here to drop off or collect children.
Family Praise - Sunday – May 9th -10.00 a.m. in St. Michael’s Church
We hope you can be in church for this service – Christian Aid Week.
Good luck to our girls’ football team. They will represent St. Michael’s tomorrow, Saturday 8th May in the Staffordshire County Championships at Stone Dominoes F.C., Motiva Park, Yarnfield, Stone. Thank you to all the players involved and the adults who will go along to give their support.
Compost Awareness Week – 2nd to 8th May
We would like to thank Lichfield District Council for delivering 8 bags of compost to school, free of charge. We shall make use of this compost in our school grounds.

St. Michael’s Choirs
St. Michael’s Choir concerts; more details to follow but here are the dates for your diary:
Years 3 & 4 Choir – ‘Songbirds’ concert, Coton Centre Tamworth. Thursday June 24th. There will be a rehearsal after school, the concert begins at 6.30 p.m.
Annexe Choir – African Sanctus, Lichfield Cathedral. Saturday June 12th. Rehearsal at 1.30 p.m. then concert at 7.30 p.m.
Both Choirs – ‘Staffordshire goes Stateside’. Sunday July 4th concert early evening.
Please can children let Mrs. Marsden know as soon as possible whether they can attend their concerts.
It is a huge privilege to be invited to participate in all these concerts. The children are already working really hard to learn all the music.

Lichfield Sinfonia Concert
Sunday 16th May
£1 will be donated to school P.T.A. funds for every green letter presented on the door at the concert performed by Lichfield’s Sinfonia orchestra. Full programme details can be seen on the poster displayed on the P.T.A. notice board near the school gates. Tickets (£6.50) can be reserved on 01543 264718 or can be bought on the door.
Wednesday 19th May- next children’s discos
The next children’s discos have been arranged for Wednesday 19th May. Keep an eye out for a separate letter which will include more details.
General P.T.A. meeting
Our next P.T.A. meeting will be held on 24th May. More details to follow nearer the time.
