20th May 2010

Dear Parents,

Friday 28th May 2010 p.m. No Parking will be possible for parents at St. Michael’s Church
A reminder that in the afternoon of the 28th May, due to a Funeral being held at church, parents will not be able to park at church when collecting their children from school.
We very much appreciate your support in this matter.

Friday 21st May at 9.30 a.m. – Rec W Class Worship
We look forward to parents/carers of children in Class Rec W joining us tomorrow, Friday 21st May at 9.30 a.m. for this event.

Monday 31st May until Friday 4th June – Half Term
A reminder that school closes at the normal time on Friday 28th May and reopens on Monday 7th June 2010.

School Band Practice

Unfortunately due to diminishing numbers School Band Practice will no longer take place.  If at a later date more interest is shown we will reconsider the situation.

Lunch Money
In response to comments raised by parents during the monthly ‘Drop Ins’ with Governors and feedback from questionnaires, we have been in dialogue with County Catering to review the current daily payment of dinner money.  As a result of our discussions you will be able to pay for school dinners weekly by cheque from Monday 24th May.  Cheques should be made payable to Staffordshire County Catering.  Daily cash payment will continue as normal.

We look forward to parents/carers of children in Class 1H joining us on Friday 28th May at 9.30 a.m. for this event.

Reception and Year 6 Photographs

If you wish to order a photograph please return the order envelope with cash or cheque (made payable to H. Tempest Ltd.) to your child’s class teacher before Monday 7th June 2010 . Any orders after this date will have to be made with H. Tempest directly.

PTA news

School Disco

Thank you to everyone who helped & also to everyone who attended this week’s school discos. Details of the amount raised will follow next week.

PTA meeting- Monday 24th May
Our next PTA meeting will be held at the Duke of York public house starting at 8pm. We’ll be focussing on the Summer Fayre, and as usual new faces are always welcome.

Summer fayre programme competition
A separate letter has been issued for the summer programme design competition so this is just a reminder that the closing date for entries is Thursday 27th May.
