Chinese New Year

Thursday 7th February 2008 - The Year of the Rat.

We enjoyed finding out how Chinese people around the world celebrate the New Year.

The Chinese restaurant

Using Chopsticks can be quite tricky but lots of fun trying.

William's Mummy made us a cake
to celebrate the Year of the Rat

Art Students from Lichfield College helped us
to make bright, bold Dragon masks

We used our rain shakers and
sang songs to help the crops grow

We did a Ribbon dance to Chinese music

We had great fun performing
‘The Lucky Dragon dance’ to our parents.
