WILL’S MATCH REPORT
(FOR THE ‘A’ TEAM)

Written by Will (Year 6),
member of the football team

Chadsmead 1 – 1 St. Michael’s

With St. Michael’s raring to go the whistle blew to start a new season of school football.  In the first half St. Michael’s had most of the possession but the first 10 minutes were uneventful.  However in the last 5 minutes
Mr. Hardwick (our manager) made a substitution which changed the match.  After moments of being on the pitch our striker put the ball into the back of the net.  The half time whistle blew.  In the second half St. Michael’s had most of the opportunities but in the last second Chadsmead scored, therefore making the final score 1 – 1.

St. Michael’s 1 – 2 Charnwood

After our defeat against Charnwood last year, St. Michael’s were almost reluctant going into the match, although they soon got into the flow of it.  Almost nothing happened in the first half but in the second things really started to spark off.  St. Michael’s had lots of shots but in the end Charnwood claimed the first goal but St. Michael’s came back immediately and put one in.  Charnwood, not rattled by this, scored another to secure the match in a score of 2 – 1.

St. Michael’s 3 – 6 Willows

When the whistle blew Willows were on the attack and, in the first minute,
St. Michael’s had conceded a goal.  Undeterred by this St. Michael’s came straight back and equalised to 1 – 1.  The Willows put another two on the score sheet with almost clumsy goals.  St. Michael’s came back to 3 – 3 but after that had nothing left to give.  Consequently making the score 6 – 8 to The Willows.
