Girls' Football report

Will the winning streak ever end?
As a year 4 team, last year we won the year 3/4 girls football tournament, so it was decided to keep to the same team and attempt to win the year 5/6 girls inter-school football trophy this year. Could we do it?
| Teams we played: | Score: |
| St. Stephens | 3-1 to us |
| St. Joseph’s | 0-0 |
| Willows | 2-1 to us |
| Whittington (semi-final) | 1-0 to us through penalties |
| Greysbrooke (final) | 2-0 |
Here we go:
The girls’ football team completed 3 matches winning two and drawing one. They got to the semi-final. What will happen next?
Semi-final
There were no goals leading us into extra time. Still no goals scored so it all came to penalties.
Molly under pressure
With our goalie being undefeated in the penalties and our first two players missing their penalties, it came down to the last penalty. It was all down to Molly, right in the corner, she scored! We’re in the final!
Final
We played against Greysbrooke, they were pretty good. Sadly for them a great St. Michael’s goal was scored, putting us one step closer to winning.
The winning goal
Another great goal by Molly in the last minute of them game followed by the ref blowing his whistle for the end of the match, saw us jump for joy and lift the trophy high again.
